According to Buddha

There is no excuse for a wrong state of mind.  You must be always positive-minded, cheerful, smiling, vibrant.  By all means, practice this mental youthfulness that comes from the core of your being.

i spent the day in bed
it’s a consolation
when all my dreams
are perfectly legal
in sheets for which i paid
i am now laid
and i recommend to all of my friends that they

stop watching the news!
because the news contrives to frighten you
to make you feel small and alone
to make you feel that your mind isn’t your own

According to Buddha

Learn how to play the various parts of your life-movie without identifying your role with your Self. It is important to remember, whenever pain or anger or any kind of mental or physical suffering comes, to look upon them as would a spectator. Dissociate yourself from your experiences. Looking upon them as though they were happening to another person is the best way.

what will i be
will i be handsome

i tell them tenderly
que sera, sera
whatever will be, will be

que sera, sera
what will be, will be

According to Buddha

You have your own self-created destiny with its lessons to be learned, and you must play well that part for which you were sent here. If everybody on the stage wants to be a king or queen, there will be no play. An actor with even a minor part can ruin the entire production by a poor performance. Every role is important; everyone should interact harmoniously for the success of the play.

According to Buddha

Millions of people never analyze themselves. Mentally they are mechanical products of the factory of their environment, preoccupied with breakfast, lunch, and dinner, working and sleeping, and going here and there to be entertained. They don’t know what or why they are seeking, nor why they never realize complete happiness and lasting satisfaction. By evading self-analysis, people go on being robots, conditioned by their environment. True self-analysis is the greatest art of progress.

did she run away
because somebody didn’t treat her right?
did they leave her out in the cold night air
too lonely night?
a big black dog
big black dogs, they’re everywhere
looking for a home, they’re hungry and scared
all they need is food and attention
to give back love, sometimes redemption of sin
you could find them here in a big black dog

According to Buddha

In one of my former lives I was a cloud. The cloud had a nice time in the sky, travelling around and looking down. A cloud is sometimes transformed into rain, and when the rain comes, the cloud isn’t scared to death. The cloud knows that the rain is something very exciting too. So, instead of crying, the cloud begins to sing and becomes the rain falling on fields and into the rivers.

According to Buddha

It is for the betterment of both man and woman that the woman should be given every freedom and equal opportunity for her individuality. Then there will be a sense of humour. And the woman can laugh more gracefully than man, she has every potential for it – but it is repressed, condemned, criticized. She has lived a life of such misery that you cannot hope that she will show some sense of humour.
