we both hate the holidays
our parents act crazy
and the mall is insane
let’s skip it all this year
and have a non-traditional, non-denominational celebration
Christmas with you is the best
we’ll have no turkey or guests
sleeping late but before we get dressed
i want to give you a present i want to give you a present
Water condensed becomes ice, and so invisible Spirit can be frozen into form by my devotion’s frost. If only you could see the beautiful eyes of the Mother that I beheld last night. follow, follow the sun
and which way the wind blows
when this day is done.
breathe, breathe in the air.
set your intentions. dream with care.

old man lyin’ by the side of the road
where the lorries rollin’ by
blue moon sinkin’ from the weight of the load
and the buildings scrape the sky
red lights flashin’ through the window in the rain
can you hear the sirens moan
cold wind rippin’ on the valley at dawn
and the morning paper flies
don’t let it bring you down
it’s only castle’s burning
find someone who’s turning
and you will come around you will come around

If for company you cannot find a wise and prudent friend who leads a good life, then, like a king who leaves behind a conquered kingdom, or like a lone elephant in the elephant forest, you should go your way alone.
